About the job:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, comfort, and overall presentation of furnished corporate apartments. A primary responsibility of this position is completing scheduled regular/occupied cleaning services while guests are residing in the apartment. The role requires working carefully and respectfully around guests' personal belongings, protecting guest privacy, following established housekeeping standards, working independently across multiple apartment communities, and promptly communicating service, maintenance, access, or safety concerns.
What you’ll be doing:
- Complete scheduled regular/occupied cleaning services in furnished corporate apartments according to established procedures, checklists, and quality standards. Clean and sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, dining areas, entryways, and other designated areas within the apartment.
- Make beds and replace bed linens when included in the scheduled service. Replace towels, linens, and other approved household supplies as required by the assigned service.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, décor, accessible surfaces, and designated areas. Vacuum carpets and rugs and sweep, vacuum, and mop hard-surface flooring.
- Identify and promptly report maintenance concerns, damage, safety hazards, pest concerns, missing company property, excessively worn or damaged items, or other unusual conditions observed in the apartment.
- Follow proper chemical handling, labeling, storage, dilution, and cleaning-product usage guidelines, and safely operate vacuums, mops, and other housekeeping equipment.
- Remove household trash and recycling, replace liners as appropriate, and handle soiled linens according to established procedures.
- Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, assigned materials, and storage areas in a clean, safe, organized, and properly stocked condition.
- Comply with applicable health, safety, sanitation, company, apartment-community, parking, and building-access policies and procedures.
- Use company-required mobile devices, applications, or communication tools appropriately to receive assignments, report status, document concerns, and communicate with supervisors and operational teams.
- Greet guests professionally when encountered, provide courteous assistance within the scope of the position, and maintain professional behavior while interacting with guests, property staff, coworkers, and members of the public.
- Respond professionally to guest requests within the scope of the position and communicate requests, concerns, or service issues to the appropriate department when follow-up is required.
- Promptly communicate access problems, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, unusual apartment conditions, service delays, or other circumstances that may affect completion of assigned work.
- Assist with move-out cleans, arrival preparation, deep cleaning, special cleaning projects, or other housekeeping assignments when operationally necessary.
- May assist with delivering, replacing, or removing linens, housewares, cleaning supplies, or other apartment-related items as required to support guest service and operations.
- Maintain the overall appearance and organization of the apartment while respecting the guest's personal belongings and living space.
- Exercise care when cleaning around personal property. Guest belongings should not be unnecessarily moved, reorganized, discarded, opened, or otherwise disturbed.
- Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times, including information, documents, belongings, or conversations encountered while working inside an occupied apartment.
- Follow established procedures when an apartment cannot be accessed, a guest requests a change in service, or conditions prevent the scheduled cleaning from being completed.
- Notify the appropriate supervisor when an apartment requires cleaning or service beyond the normal scope of a regular/occupied cleaning.
- Complete assigned apartments within established service timeframes while maintaining required quality standards.
- Follow company procedures for apartment access, including proper handling and safeguarding of keys, FOBs, access codes, parking credentials, or other access devices.
- Ensure apartment doors are properly secured upon completion of service and follow established departure procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Travel:
Travel between apartment communities and corporate housing locations within the assigned service area is an essential function of this position. Employees may be required to travel between multiple locations during the workday according to the assigned schedule.
Employees may also be required to transport cleaning supplies, linens, equipment, or other operational materials between locations as part of their assigned duties.

What you’ll bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior residential, corporate housing, hospitality, apartment, janitorial, or professional housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
- Experience working independently in occupied residential environments is preferred.

- Ability to safely operate standard housekeeping equipment and appropriately handle and safeguard apartment keys, FOBs, access credentials, and other company property.
- Flexible schedule availability, which may include weekends, holidays, and evenings based on business needs.
- Ability to work respectfully around guests and personal belongings in occupied apartments.
- Ability to recognize and report maintenance concerns, damage, safety hazards, and conditions outside the normal housekeeping scope.
- Ability to use company-required mobile devices, applications, or communication tools to receive assignments, report status, document concerns, and communicate with the operations team.
Work Environment:
- Work is primarily performed inside furnished apartments located within residential apartment communities. Apartments may be occupied by guests during the service period, requiring discretion, professionalism, and respect for personal belongings and privacy.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment, dust, household debris, pet hair, and moderate temperature variations may occur.
- The position requires independent work while remaining in communication with supervisors and operational teams. Work schedules and assigned locations may change based on guest schedules, apartment access, occupancy, and operational requirements.
- Regular travel between multiple apartment communities may occur throughout the workday.
- Work locations, building layouts, parking arrangements, and apartment-access procedures will vary.
- Employees may regularly use elevators, stairs, parking garages, loading areas, and residential common areas when accessing assigned apartments.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and kneel during shifts.â¯
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.â¯frequentlyâ¯and occasionally up to 50 lbs.â¯
- Perform repetitive motions associated with vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, making beds, handling linens, and transporting supplies.
- Ability to climb stairs and safely navigate apartment buildings, elevators, hallways, parking garages, and other property areas.
- Ability to transport cleaning supplies and equipment between vehicles and assigned apartments.
- Extended periods of activity and standing during an 8-hour shift.â¯
