Housekeeper - Norman Area

This position is located in Norman area.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This position performs routine cleaning and housekeeping duties, including cleaning offices, restrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces.  This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently while supporting the overall operations of the organization.

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, break rooms, lobbies, hallways, and other assigned areas.


• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.


• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces following established cleaning procedures.


• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste appropriately.


• Replenish supplies, including soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other housekeeping materials.


• Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and other surfaces as assigned.


• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of common areas and workspaces.


• Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment and cleaning tools safely and effectively.


• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and secured.


• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from staff, clients, patients, or visitors.


• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working in occupied areas.


• Comply with all organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

• Must be a high school graduate or have HS equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

• Six (6) months + of housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, environmental services, or related cleaning experience preferred.


• Experience cleaning and maintaining commercial, healthcare, behavioral health, residential, or office facilities preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of proper cleaning methods, sanitation practices, and infection control procedures.


• Knowledge of safe handling, storage, and disposal of cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials.


• Knowledge of housekeeping equipment, supplies, and cleaning techniques.


• Skill in cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining facilities in a safe and efficient manner.


• Skill in operating housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, floor cleaners, and other custodial tools.


• Skill in organizing work activities and prioritizing multiple assignments.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

• Must possess a valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record to use agency and/or personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.
