Job Responsibilities
Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, and dusting surfaces.
Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and refreshments.
Vacuum carpets and rugs; sweep and mop floors.
Sanitize bathrooms, including cleaning toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Adhere to hotel standards and procedures in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms.
Inspect rooms for damages, maintenance needs, and safety hazards, and report any issues to management.
Assist with laundry services as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
Restock housekeeping carts with necessary supplies for the day's work.
Follow hotel policies and procedures for cleaning standards and guest privacy.
Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas.
Ensure all room appliances and fixtures are in working order.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries promptly.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel amenities and services to assist guests effectively.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good physical stamina; ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
Effective communication skills
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to hotel standards
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Proficiency in basic cleaning equipment and chemical usage
Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor
