Housekeeper/Groundskeeper

As a Groundskeeper/Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, attractiveness, and overall upkeep of our apartment complex's indoor and outdoor areas, landscaping, common areas, and grounds. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that common areas, unit turns, hallways, offices, and other shared spaces are consistently clean and presentable.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in common areas and hallways.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as trimming hedges, and watering plants to maintain a visually appealing landscape.
• Clean and maintain entryways, lobbies, elevators, and other shared spaces to ensure they are tidy and welcoming.
• Keep outdoor spaces free from debris, litter, and other safety hazards.
• Perform regular inspections of outdoor areas to identify and address maintenance needs, such as repairing fences, and walkways.
• Assist in planting flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty of the property.
• Use and maintain groundskeeping equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Restock supplies, such as paper products and cleaning supplies, in designated areas.
• Maintain an inventory of landscaping and maintenance supplies and communicate needs to the management team.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
• Notify management of any maintenance issues, damages, or repairs needed in the common areas.
• Follow established health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hazard-free environment.
• Assist with cleaning needs in vacant apartments or units as required.
• Respond promptly to any landscaping-related concerns or requests from residents.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and promptly address any cleaning-related concerns or requests.

• Proven experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or a similar role and/or in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining clean and organized spaces.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with residents and team members.
• Knowledge of safe handling and usage of cleaning products and equipment.
• Knowledge of landscaping techniques, equipment, and plant care.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining outdoor spaces.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
