Description

The Overmountain Lodge and Tryon International Equestrian Center is currently seeking independent, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our housekeeping team. We offer a variety of units, including hotel rooms, one-bedroom cabins, and larger homes. We are looking for seasonal to full time team members. We have a traditional hourly pay or our new pay-per-unit program that offers competitive compensation and unlimited earning potential.

Duties and responsibilities 

• Ensure the standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness are maintained throughout the Resort.
• Job duties included but not limited to changing bed linen, making beds, restocking of towels and other bathroom amenities, dusting furniture, vacuuming and mopping floors, sanitizing bathrooms, and occasional cabin stayover service.
• Maintain a professional appearance with a positive attitude and is adaptable and flexible.
• Is patient, helpful and is interested in the welfare of the guests and staff.
• Has great attention to detail and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Follows staff conduct policies and time management guidelines. 
• Is organized and able to prioritize workload.
• Must be trustworthy, maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Resort data.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Able to multitask for the benefit of quality services.
• Able to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
• Handles negative situations with clear thinking, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. 
• Communicates effectively and in a professional manner to all guests, co-workers and associates of the Resort.
• Desire and willingness to work as a team within the housekeeping department.
• Willing to cross over and assist in other areas as required.
• Able to safely handle and use cleaning chemicals. 
• Able to operate housekeeping equipment.
