Housekeeping Position

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at a long term care facility in Rome, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds.


• Ensure proper disposal of waste and maintain cleanliness of trash receptacles.


• Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines specific to long term care facilities.


• Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials as needed.


• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.


• Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing.


• Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy and dignity of all residents.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a long term care or healthcare setting.


• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper use, and safety precautions.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.


• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.


• Ability to handle physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a healthcare environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals and potential biohazards. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be used as required.
