Housekeeping - 1st shift

Summary

Position will be responsible for maintaining our office space both inside and outside of the buildings. The ideal candidate should be dependable and able to work independently. They should also be able to communicate issues to the Facilities Manager if issues arise that they cannot fix themselves. A clean, organized and customer presentation ready is the key to success in this role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls
• Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed
• Maintain outdoor grounds, pick up trash
• Remove debris and snow from sidewalks
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
• Clean and maintain restrooms
• Washing and clean windows and mirrors
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
• Operate floor scrubbers and other janitorial equipment
• Dust furniture and fixtures
• Washes windows and mirrors.
• Takes out the trash and recycling.
• Wipes down and sanitizes surfaces.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms.
• Handles leaf and snow removal as needed.
• Follows instructions from supervisor.
• Sweeps, mops, polishes, and vacuums floors.
• Mows lawns, waters plants, and removes litter.
• Uses common cleaning tools and outdoor power equipment.
• Organizes the janitor closet and stores all supplies and tools.
• Completes minor repairs, like switching lightbulbs and unclogging toilets.
• Notifies the head janitor when major repairs are needed.
• Fills out janitorial checklists at the end of every shift.
• Follows safety rules and precautions, GMPs, PPEs.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/ Acceptable Equivalency/ Preferences

• Some janitorial cleaning experience is preferred
• Basic understanding of handling waste items, designating discarded products, and fundamental knowledge of PPE 
• Bi-lingual a plus (Optional)

Start Pay

 $15/ hour + shift differential (nights)

• Must be able to work outside of regular work schedule as required

• Typical workday for the position will require the ability to have reasonable physical range of motion; walking, standing, occasional carry/ lifting, kneeling, crouching, fine dexterity, and crouching
