JOB TITLE: Housekeeping Attendant (Aquatic Center) AM|PM

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the pool area, locker rooms, fitness center, and related facilities. This position also performs laundry duties to ensure towels are properly cleaned and stocked for guests use.

REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeper

PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

1. Greet all guests with proper salutation.
2. Clean and sanitize locker rooms, showers, restrooms, and changing areas.
3. Maintain cleanliness in the fitness center and surrounding areas.
4. Collect, wash, dry, fold, and restock towels, linens, and other laundry items.
5. Empty trash, vacuum all carpeted areas daily, clean walls and windows, windowsills, light fixtures, etc.
6. Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, shampoo, and other amenities.
7. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the supervisor promptly.
8. Assist in maintaining compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
9. Assist in emergency cleaning of any spills observed.
10. Maintain overall cleanliness of the laundry to meet all standards.
11. Operate two-way radios efficiently and professionally in communicating with hotel staff. Ensure the proper use of radio etiquette within the departments

PRIOR EXPERIENCE:  Housekeeping/Laundry experience is a plus.

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Keys, supplies, equipment and checklist

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must have ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Must have ability to work steadily all day.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work assignments take place indoors. Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends & holidays are REQUIRED. 

HAZARDS ENCOUNTERED: Some cleaning agents and chemicals may be hazardous if improperly used or if contact with skin, eyes or clothing occurs. It is mandatory to wear gloves at all times while cleaning. Some heavy lifting, bending and kneeling;

Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have a valid driver’s license. 

Ability to read, write and follow simple verbal or written instructions and must speak and understand English. After training, demonstrate the proper use of chemicals, supplies, tools equipment. 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to read and write the English language.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: None 

PERSONALITY REQUIREMENTS: Good “people” skills, self-motivation and strong ability to adapt and accept changes.
