Responsibilities

The Houseman's primary duty is providing assistance to the housekeeping staff. 

• As a Houseman, you would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated areas of the hotel and responding to guest requests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.


• Assist room attendants by delivering linens, towels, amenities, and supplies.


• Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate with the front desk and housekeeping team.


• Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.


• Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays.


• Greet guests in a friendly manner.


• Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair.


• Stock and maintain supply rooms, as needed.


• Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects.


• Follow company's safety and security policies and procedures.


• Perform other job related tasks and duties required by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required


• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40-50lbs


• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods


• Strong attention to detail and time management skill


• Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team


• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Work Environment

• Fast-paced hospitality setting


• Requires physical work, including lifting, moving equipment and handling cleaning materials.
