The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the housekeeping department. This position oversees daily cleaning operations, manages team performance, and maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction in their assigned section. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, highly organized, and committed to creating a welcoming environment for guests and team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, and laundry services.
· Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel standards.
· Oversee team performance by conducting regular evaluations, addressing underperformance through progressive disciplinary measures and thorough documentation, and providing personalized coaching to support staff in meeting and exceeding standards
· Assign daily tasks and room assignments to housekeepers and housemen.
· Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities; coordinate orders as needed.
· Address guest requests, complaints, and special needs promptly and professionally.
· Conduct regular safety and maintenance checks, reporting any issues to management for resolution.
· Enforce compliance with cleanliness standards, safety protocols, sanitation standards, and company policies.
· Prepare and maintain housekeeping reports, such as room status and maintenance logs.
· Conduct annual performance reviews and provide feedback to team members to support their growth and development.
· Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and evaluating housekeeping team members.
· Perform cleaning duties as needed during peak times or staffing shortages.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
· Ability to lift, push, and pullupto 50 lbs regularly.
· Must be able to climb stairs and perform physical tasks, including bending, reaching, and kneeling.
Work Environment
· Fast paced and dynamic environment in a large casino hotel.
· Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.

Requirements
Must have 1 year of housekeeping experience.
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in hospitality management is a plus.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
· preferred.
· Strong leadership and organizational skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficient in using housekeeping management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
· Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
