Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

La Posada Hotel is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards and exceptional cleanliness throughout the hotel, all guest rooms and public areas. This role requires supervising staff, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence. Must have the ability to work collaboratively with a team and maintain efficient housekeeping operations. Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.

- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.

- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

- Provide training and guidance to team members on cleaning techniques and hotel policies.

- Assist with creating and managing team schedules to ensure adequate coverage.

- Implement and maintain efficient cleaning procedures and protocols.

- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.

- Address guest inquiries and resolve housekeeping-related concerns promptly and professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.

- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest experience.

- Foster a positive work environment and encourage team members to excel.

- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations in all housekeeping activities.

- Support housekeeping staff in daily cleaning tasks.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field, with supervisory experience preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Education/Formal Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• 2+ years of housekeeping experience, with prior supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications for scheduling and reporting.
