Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift ( 7:30am - 4pm) or Night Shift (5:00pm - 1:30am) positions available, (1 weekend per month)

The Houseman position is a vital part of maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. From day-to-day maintenance to special event preparation & clean-up, our dedicated custodial team ensures that every floor shines with care and attention to detail. Above all, safety is our top priority. Our floor care practices help ensure that every resident, employee and guest feels at ease and secure when in our buildings.
As a Houseman, you will perform daily cleaning of floors, corridors and other assigned areas. Project cleaning of walls, lights, windows, vents and carpets as scheduled and when assigned. Set up and break down all campus events. Upon apartment release, Houseman staff must remove all debris and furniture in a timely manner to facilitate a seamless handover to the renovation department. What You’ll Do In This Role
- Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using the prescribed methods
- Dry and wet mop floors; Scrub , wax and buff floors; Vacuum and Shampoo carpets.
- Collect and transport waste to collection area
- Move furniture and set up meetings.
- Wash walls, ceilings, lights and windows.
- Assist in cleaning of emergency spills observed or requested.
- Cleaning and sanitizing areas after bio hazard or body fluids have been removed by nursing staff.
- Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and repair when needed.
- Observe and report repairs needed on furniture, building and fixtures.
- Will receive on-the-job training
- All other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements
- Will use cleaning equipment including 20” Roto, commercial vacuums, extractors, bovac, burnisher equipment, 24 oz. wet mops ,large wringers and operate automatic robotic floor cleaning equipment.
- Considerable standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching and lifting for cleaning tasks.
- May have to lift as much as 50-75 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders.
- May be in frequent contact with strong cleaning chemicals.
- Occasional outside work as required.
- Moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the work day.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, squat, stand, and walk for up to up to 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching and stretching.
- Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment over tiled and carpeted surfaces for long distances.
- May be exposed to communicable diseases, industrial and household chemicals; offensive odors; and elevated heat levels

- Must be able to perform job responsibilities with pets present.
- Basic computer skills are required for utilizing company software and programs, including the completion of daily duty lists.
Preferred
- Highschool Diploma or equivalant
- Previous floor care experience
