Our roles go beyond just providing guest with a clean room and freshly made bed. We aim to create a memorable and distinctive experience for them. As a Houseperson, you'll handle a variety of housekeeping tasks, maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the entire hotel. They are empowered to move about their space and take action as needed. Whether delivering guest requests, stocking carts, cleaning rooms, and public spaces, or other similar tasks, the Houseperson plays a key role in making sure the hotel environment contributes to an excellent guest.
No matter your position, there are essential factors for success: ensuring a safe work environment, following company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, upholding quality standards, and presenting yourself professionally in appearance, uniform, and communication. Houseperson will be on their feet for extended periods, actively engaging in tasks that involve standing, sitting or walking, and will take a hands-on approach (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing 50 pounds or less without assistance) Excelling in these tasks (and other reasonable duties as assigned) is crucial for Houseperson to consistently deliver exceptional results for our guests and our business.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
