Job Title: HR Admin/HR Coordinator
Job Duration: 6 Months contract with potential extension
Job Location: Irving, TX 75061

Note: US Citizen or Perm Residents/GC required for this position

Job Description:
As a HR coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department in multiple activities at the Roofing and Asphalt plant in Irving, Texas. In addition, the HR coordinator will support the further development of the OC strategy. This position will be full-time. As a member of the HR team, you will be exposed to multiple HR practices and procedures. The purpose of this role will be to provide the Irving plant with HR support and be a positive force of administrative effectiveness and engagement in the workplace. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Safety
o Support plant safety initiatives to drive towards our goal of 0 injuries.
o Attend required safety trainings.
o Monthly standard housekeeping 5S audits.
HR Management
o Maintain accurate employee records including new hire files, attendance records, and other HR related documentation.
o Process new hire files and I-9 documentation.
o Create and administrate employee badges.
o Assist with employee random drug screening administrative process.
o Handling employee uniform program.
Employee Benefits
o Assist in preparation and facilitation of open enrollment benefit processes.
o Assist employees with benefit-related inquires on medical programs, retirement plans, healthy living benefits, ECT.
Recruitment and Onboarding
o Communicate plant staffing needs to recruiting agency.
o Schedule and coordinate on-site interviews with recruiting agency and key plant stakeholders.
o Assist in employee pre-hire and onboarding processes.
o Coordinate new hire orientation by communicating with key plant stakeholders.
Kronos Hourly Payroll
o Prepare weekly hourly employee payroll through Kronos system and daily timecard reviewal management.
o Communicate with supervisors on employee attendance and vacation usage.
WIDE (Wellness, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity) Team
o Participate in plant WIDE team efforts.
o Assist in coordination needs for annual WIDE initiatives: biometrics, HRA assessment, holiday celebrations, ECT.
o Assist in communication strategies for WIDE initiatives to all employees.
Employee Engagement & Recognition
o Support in plant efforts to be a culture of appreciation.
o Assist in administration and improvements of employee recognition systems.
o Participate in coordination of employee engagement initiatives.
Training and Development
o Be a part of our T&D team and engage in continuous improvement towards our strategy.
o Provide administrative support to T&D team.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma Required
2-3 years of working HR experience, preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S
Manufacturing Knowledge or Experience, preferred.
Payroll system experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Demonstrated ability to communicate with employees at different levels in an organization.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work closely with all types of employees.
Collaborative can work well with a diverse team.
