Job Description - HR Administrative Assistant

Description

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Location: Grand Junction, CO

Full-Time, In-Office Monday-Friday

Position Summary

On behalf of CNS Cares (“CNS” or “Company”), the Human Resources Administrative Assistant will provide office support for the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) Team. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, multi-tasking, professional discretion, and knowledge of HR functions. HR is a fast-paced environment that supports multi-state operations. The ideal Team Member will have a positive demeanor and ability to adapt.

Essential Functions

Employees must have regular attendance/punctuality, be able to work with others at all levels of the Company and be completely honest. Other assigned duties include:

  • Answer HR office phone and direct calls accordingly.
  • Accomplish administrative office related requests as needed (scanning, faxing, meeting minutes, emails, correspondence, etc.)
  • Monitor and respond to email requests.
  • Creates and distributes monthly newsletter.
  • Backup front reception desk at local office.
  • Manage submitted HR ticket requests.
  • Receive mail/faxes and distribute documents accordingly.
  • Support local employee recognition events: Holiday celebrations, birthdays, milestones, etc.
  • Answer employee questions via email and phone regarding HR and general office questions.
  • Assists with onboarding and processing.
  • Prints badges for new hires and sends out with new hire kit.
  • Add and maintain employee files in the HRIS system.
  • Approves employee demographic change requests in HRIS.
  • Support open enrollment events.
  • Assist with state audit documents and processes.
  • Assists HR Leadership with preparing reports and presentations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education/Training

  • High school diploma
  • At least one (1) year of human resources or administrative experience; or equivalent education and experience.
