About the Role
Goshen Engineering is seeking an HR Administrator to provide day-to-day human resources administration and office support. This role supports employees and leadership through accurate employee records, onboarding and offboarding, recruiting coordination, benefits and routine HR administration, HR systems and documentation, and general office support. The successful candidate will be organized, discreet, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a growing manufacturing and engineering environment.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, including required paperwork, employment documentation, orientation logistics, and separation administration.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, personnel files, acknowledgments, training records, and other HR documentation using the company’s HRIS, payroll, and benefits technology.
- Support annual open enrollment for benefits and coordinate benefits administration and transactional activities.
- Provide routine HR administrative support to employees and leadership, including assistance with policies, time off, benefits, payroll and timekeeping processes, and employment documentation; escalate matters requiring additional review.
- Support recruiting activities by coordinating job postings, candidate communications, interview scheduling, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding logistics.
- Coordinate general office administration and complete special projects and tasks as needed to support the business and leadership.
- Support employee communications, HR initiatives, and other administrative projects as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, company, and other sensitive information and use appropriate judgment when handling workplace matters.
- Provide accurate and timely follow-up on assigned HR and administrative matters and communicate status, questions, or issues to the appropriate employee or leader.
- Work cooperatively with employees, candidates, vendors, and leadership to provide responsive and professional support.
- Maintain organized and accurate HR documentation and records in accordance with established company practices.
- Support administration of HR systems, forms, acknowledgments, and routine workflows and assist with process improvements as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in human resources, business administration, or a related field is helpful.
- Two or more years of experience in human resources administration or a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work professionally with employees, candidates, vendors, and leadership.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and exercise sound judgment regarding matters that should be escalated.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established administrative processes and documentation requirements.
- Professional, service-oriented approach and ability to work effectively with employees and leadership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar business productivity tools and ability to learn HR, payroll, timekeeping, scheduling, and other business systems.
- Regular on-site physical presence is required. The role is primarily office-based but requires movement through manufacturing and operational areas, use of computers and standard office equipment, and occasional lifting or carrying of office materials up to 20 pounds.
Preferred
- Experience supporting HR functions in a small or mid-sized manufacturing environment.
- Experience with payroll/timekeeping, benefits administration, recruiting coordination, or HR information systems.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
