Summary

Actron Manufacturing is seeking an organized and experienced HR Administrator to support the day-to-day Human Resources needs of a 80+ employee manufacturing organization. This hands-on position will provide administrative support across recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits, leave administration, payroll coordination, and HR compliance.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, maintains confidentiality, has strong follow-through, and can independently prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being hands-on and serving as a trusted resource for employees and managers.


Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Process biweekly payroll, including reviewing timekeeping records, entering employee changes, and ensuring payroll information is accurate and submitted timely.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, background checks, drug screens, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring all required paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel records and HRIS information, including new hires, status changes, promotions, and terminations.
  • Assist employees with general HR questions and direct more complex issues to appropriate management or HR leadership.
  • Administer employee benefits, including new hire enrollment, employee questions, annual open enrollment, and coordination with the company’s benefits broker.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees on leaves of absence and assist with the administration and tracking of applicable state and federal leave programs, including FMLA/CFRA.
  • Facilitate employee safety meetings and assist with workers’ compensation claims, disability matters, employee injury documentation and tracking.
  • Coordinate required employee communications, including new hire announcements, promotions, work anniversaries, and other HR communications.
  • Assist with performance review administration, employee training coordination, and other HR initiatives.
  • Support compliance-related activities, including employment verifications, unemployment claims, required reporting, and maintaining required employee documentation.
  • Assist with employee relations documentation and administrative follow-up as directed by management.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company information.
  • Assist with special HR projects and other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HR administrative or related HR experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, documentation, and employment practices.
  • Experience with payroll systems like ADP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with benefits administration and leave administration strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
