Job Description - HR Analyst

TARGETED OUTCOMES
* Assess and improve all site HR processes and implement control plan to stabilize
* Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive workforce development strategy
* Support efforts to bring new talent into the organization by ensuring a successful candidate experience and an effective selection process
* Develop and support strategy for expanding and improving the effectiveness of employee engagement
* Partner with HRBP and site leaders to assess and grow the leadership capability of front-line leaders
* Partner with talent development specialist and department leaders to assess and grow the leadership capability of front-line leaders.
* Support development and implementation of plans to positively influence culture of employee engagement and ownership and ensure significant time in field to drive improved employee relations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Demonstrates personal example in driving Ascend's zero-incident safety culture through safe work practices and employee engagement
* Demonstrates personal example in alignment of site culture to Ascend Values
* Coordinates recruitment activities to include: working with assigned recruiters, posting positions, scheduling, arranging travel and candidate correspondence. Screen hourly applicants and forward qualified candidate resumes to hiring manager
* Oversees onboarding process and conducts orientation for all new hires
* Assists with the development and implementation of workforce forecasts and plans, including essential resourcing and selection activities
* Creates and implements communication plans that support key business and HR-related initiatives
* Partners with first line leaders to establish proactive employee relations
* Provides guidance and accurate interpretation on HR policies, processes and procedures
* Analyzes compliance requirements, trends and key metrics and partner with the broader HR organization to develop and implement solutions, programs and policies
* Partners with HRBP to plan and carry out the facilitation of training-related activities/events, material production and distribution, and other resources within authorized budgets
* Coordinates and maintain HRIS data entry and maintenance activities
* Act as Site Culture Team Champion
* Perform site responsibilities related to the position of Ascend Cares Site Representative
TEAM
* Reports to: Human Resources Manager
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other Business discipline required.
* 3 years' experience in Human Resources arena, including strong employee relations background
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Ability to positively influence at all levels of the organization
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
* Customer focused, must be detail oriented and possess strong analytical skills
* Sound knowledge and understanding of U.S. employment laws and practices, including but not limited to FMLA, FLSA, and payroll
* Preferred experience in HRIS data systems and application tracking systems and excellent ability to effectively use Microsoft applications
* Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations in a collaborative/inclusive fashion
* Listens actively to others and assimilates their input and views and respects and relates well to others from varied backgrounds
* Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive matters in a professional and discretionary manner
* Encourages and respects the contribution of others at all levels in the team; and also works as an excellent team player with a positive outlook and professional integrity. Simultaneously, also able to work independently where applicable and excel in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
DESIRED SKILLS
* Ability to assess and track effectiveness metrics (ie, Talent Acquisition, training program, AOP adherence, etc)
* PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP/SP certification preferred (complete within 18 months)
* Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desired
* Workday experience
* Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS) experience
