Ultimate Staffing is seeking a HR Assistant Manager to join the team of a growing manufacturer located near Cibolo, TX.

Profile

As the HR Assistant Manager (HRAM), reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of HR Specialists with responsibilities for Recruiting & Staffing, Employee Relations, Policy Development, Payroll, HRIS and Benefits.

The HRAM will support the creation of an atmosphere in which Management and Team Members (TMs) can communicate frankly with each other to support early detection and prevention of employee relations issues.

The HRAM will develop personal communication strategies that support building mutual trust and respect between TMs and the company.

The HRAM will support and communicate clearly the company's purpose, values and objectives to foster a sense of excellence.

In addition, must fully understand employment laws and all company policies to provide support for both TMs and the company to operate appropriately and effectively.

Responsibilities


  • Developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Developing and administering various human resources plans and procedures for all TMs.
  • Leading the development of the HR department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Establishing department KPIs and systems to track and visualize results.
  • Ensuring consistent policy implementation.
  • Building relationships with all employees in order to foster a more open and communicative environment that provides support to all employees in relation to understanding the company and its policies.
  • Grasping employee opinions to understand their concerns and address quickly to minimize morale impact.
  • Meets with employees to discuss questions or issues pertaining to company policies and/or labor issues and makes recommendations that effectively resolve problems, by using judgment consistent with company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Understand all employment laws and standards and provide appropriate trainings and advice to managers and TMs.
  • Execute other items upon request by the company.

  • Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field.
  • 5 to 7 years' experience in Human Resources Management.
  • Human Resources Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
  • (3) years or more in leadership/supervisory experience.
  • (3) years or more in Employee Relations role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all employment laws and standards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, self-directing, strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power point, etc.), able to create documents, graphs and databases.
  • Must be able to work overtime or outside typical business hours according to business needs.
  • Reasonable business travel required according to business needs.

  • Desirable Qualifications


  • Five (5) years or more experience working in manufacturing environment.
