Job Description - HR Benefits/Payroll Specialist

Parallel Employment Group is seeking a detail-oriented HR Benefits/Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for administering employee benefits programs and managing payroll processes. Your expertise will ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations while providing top-notch support to employees regarding their benefits and payroll inquiries. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for enhancing the employee experience through effective benefits management and payroll accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage employee records related to benefits and payroll, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding benefits enrollment, deductions, and payroll issues.
  • Assist in the open enrollment process by providing information and support to employees.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll and benefit records.
  • Stay updated on changing regulations and best practices related to payroll and benefits administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR benefits and payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and benefits administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS and payroll software, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
