About the Role
Puck is looking for an organized, people-focused HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This role owns the day-to-day mechanics of recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement while supporting the broader HR function with administrative work. You'll be the first point of contact for many new hires and a steady presence for current employees navigating everyday HR questions - a great fit for someone who wants hand-on HR experience across the full employee lifecycle.
What You'll Do
Recruiting
Post open positions across job boards and internal channels.
Screen resumes and applications, and schedule interviews for hiring managers.
Coordinate candidate communication throughout the hiring process.
Conduct background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment screenings.
Extend offer letters and track candidate status through applicant tracking system.
Onbaording
Prepare new hire paperwork, badges, workstations, and first-day logistics
Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Set up new employees in HRIS and payroll systems.
Check in with new hires during their first 60-90 days to support a smooth transition.
Employee Engagement
Help plan and execute employee events, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives.
Support internal communications related to HR programs and company updates.
Assist in gathering and organizing employee feedback (surveys, exit interviews, etc.)
Administrative Support
Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and files.
Process HR-related paperwork such as status changes, leave requests, and verifications of employment.
Support benefits enrollment administration and respond to routine employee questions.
Assist with compliance tracking (training completions, certifications, required postings).
Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.
What We're Looking For
Highschool diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
HR, recruiting or administrative experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Comfortable working in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook); HRIS experience is a plus
A proactive, adaptable mindset - comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
