Boiler Tube Company is seeking a highly organized and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support the Plant Human Resources Manager in a variety of HR functions. This role plays a critical part in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, leave administration, training coordination, employee engagement activities, and offboarding processes.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Requirements
Recruitment & Staffing
Post and manage job openings through the applicant tracking system.
Source and identify qualified candidates for hourly manufacturing positions.
Screen applicants and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
Support recruiting initiatives to attract top talent.
Onboarding & New Hire Administration
Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including drug screens and fit-for-duty appointments.
Complete I-9 employment eligibility verification.
Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
Schedule and track onboarding training requirements.
Employee Records Management
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Update personnel files, attendance records, leave documentation, and other HR-related data within HR systems.
Ensure compliance with record retention requirements.
Benefits & Leave Administration
Assist employees with questions regarding company benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
Manage leave administration processes, including FMLA, short-term disability, and ADA accommodation requests through designated vendor platforms.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of employee leave cases.
Training & Development
Assign and monitor online training programs.
Maintain training records and databases.
Coordinate training schedules and ensure completion records are accurately documented.
Offboarding & Employee Transitions
Conduct exit interviews and gather employee feedback.
Process termination paperwork and offboarding documentation.
Coordinate the return of company property and completion of separation requirements.
Administrative & HR Support
Maintain HR filing systems and documentation.
Schedule meetings and prepare HR reports, presentations, and employee status change documentation.
Provide administrative support for day-to-day HR operations.
Special Projects & Employee Engagement
Partner with the Plant HR Manager on employee events, engagement initiatives, training activities, and continuous improvement projects.
Support implementation of HR programs and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR
Associate degree with at least 2 years of Human Resources experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Human Resources experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
Familiarity with FMLA, ADA, and leave administration processes
