This role is a key support role within the Human Resources Department to ensure smooth daily HR operations, strengthen systems and compliance, and deliver an exceptional employee experience. This role has a wide range of responsibilities and is looking for someone who is a self-starter that is always eager to be learning and doing more. Attention to detail, strong work ethic, integrity, positive attitude and confidentiality are core characteristics needed.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day guidance to managers and employees on company policies, performance management, employee relations, workplace issues, and employee lifecycle matters
Manage full-cycle recruitment for specialized roles, including job postings, sourcing, conducting phone screens, and scheduling interviews
Support Director of HR with performance review, succession planning, engagement survey follow-up activities, and leadership meeting preparation
Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and materials for HR and business leadership discussions
Identify opportunities to improve people processes, manager resources, documentation, and the overall employee experience
Help ensure compliance with California and federal employment laws, including leave administration, wage and hour requirements, and workplace policies
Maintain accurate employee and organizational data in BambooHR, including reporting structures, job profiles, and organizational updates
Audit and validate HR data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and data integrity across systems
Process and support HR system transactions, organizational updates, and position management activities
Help validate compensation and workforce planning information to ensure accuracy and consistency
Become part of the feedback loop with functional managers for employee’s concerns about their current role/utilization and future opportunities at ThinKom
Provide administrative and analytical support related to all areas of the HR Department
Assists with benefits and compliance administration
Ensure employee relations documentation is accurately maintained within HR systems
Support documentation organization and tracking related to performance management and employee relations processes
Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion
Performs all other duties and functions as assigned
Skills and/or Experience Needed
Bachelor’s degree in HR related field preferred, but not required if sufficient HR experience
1-2 years’ experience in an HR associate/generalist role desired
Proficient in HRIS systems with an ability to learn how to use new platforms quickly
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Problem solver with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong data analysis skills
Capable to deliver uncomfortable messages to employees about their performance in an objective, respectful way
Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable multi-tasking and switching between priorities
Enthusiastic and patient with employees
Independent, self-motivated worker with a Team-oriented mindset and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Spanish speaking is a plus
Other Abilities
Interpersonal skills to effectively work with ThinKom people internally as well as working effectively with vendors
Ability to communicate calmly in a well thought out response, verbal and written
Must have substantial problem-solving abilities
Additional Requirements
Must be eligible to obtain and hold a US DoD Security Clearance in support of US Government contracts/subcontracts

This position may be subject to frequent or occasional on the job interruptions that may cause a change in immediate priorities and/or work focus
While performing duties of this position, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, and/or bend
May occasionally be required to lift, push, or pull maximum of 50 lbs
May be subjected to occasional irregular or extended work hours
Must be able to work in an environment that may be subject to occasional loud noises, hazardous materials and chemicals
