Job Description - HR Coordinator - Start Immediately

Summary:
Join our team as a dedicated and driven HR Coordinator! You will play a pivotal role in supporting all HR functions across our organization and distribution centers while assisting the HR Generalist in resolving employee concerns and investigations. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring effective implementation of HR policies and procedures, fostering positive employee relations with sensitivity and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in investigating and resolving employee relations inquiries, including grievances, conflicts, sensitive personal matters, disciplinary actions, and discrimination complaints.
  • Collaborate with the HR Generalist to address personnel matters for company departments while fostering a harmonious work environment.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations matters, company policies, and best practices.
  • Participate in implementing and maintaining human resources policies and procedures for all company personnel, ensuring compliance and alignment with federal and state regulations.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including conducting new-employee orientations and ensuring accurate completion of employee onboarding packages.
  • Support training and development initiatives to empower employees with the skills and knowledge necessary for personal growth and career advancement.
  • Assist in creating and delivering training programs that align with the company's goals and values.
  • Maintain human resource information and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee data.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend conferences and seminars to stay updated on HR best practices and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to promote a safe work environment and implement OSHA-recommended practices.
  • Respond to and investigate workplace safety incidents, documenting findings and implementing preventative measures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • 1- 2 years of experience in HR-related roles, preferably in the retail, manufacturing, or logistics industry.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required to communicate effectively with our diverse workforce.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with advanced PC skills, and familiarity with Google Workspace.
  • HR certification, such as PHR or SHRM-CP, is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies, with excellent research skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity as part of a fast-growing company.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of multitasking effectively.
  • Possess a positive and professional demeanor.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at time.

Compensation:
The pay range for this job is between $23 and $25 per hour. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
