Job Description - HR Generalist

About the Role
We’re looking for a people-focused HR Generalist to lead recruiting, onboarding, and employee development efforts across our organization.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you’ll partner closely with leaders to attract great talent, create a strong onboarding experience, and support employee growth and engagement.

What You’ll Do
Talent & Recruiting

Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles
Partner with hiring managers to understand needs and deliver quality hires quickly
Build candidate pipelines and improve recruiting strategies

Onboarding & Experience

Own the onboarding experience from offer through Day 1 and beyond
Ensure new hires are welcomed, prepared, and set up for success
Continuously improve onboarding to drive retention

Training & Development

Coordinate training programs and track participation
Support employee development and skill-building initiatives
Assist with performance management processes and communication

Engagement & Culture

Lead employee engagement initiatives and programs (including Merit Cares)
Support a positive, connected workplace culture
Partner with leaders to enhance team engagement and retention

Manager Partnership

Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers
Provide guidance on recruiting, onboarding, and employee development
Support day-to-day employee needs and escalate when appropriate

What We’re Looking For

3–5+ years of HR experience, with strong recruiting and onboarding background
Experience in manufacturing or operations environment preferred
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
