Job Description - HR Generalist


About the Role
We’re looking for a people-focused HR Generalist to lead recruiting, onboarding, and employee development efforts across our organization.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you’ll partner closely with leaders to attract great talent, create a strong onboarding experience, and support employee growth and engagement.

What You’ll Do
Talent & Recruiting
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand needs and deliver quality hires quickly
  • Build candidate pipelines and improve recruiting strategies
Onboarding & Experience
  • Own the onboarding experience from offer through Day 1 and beyond
  • Ensure new hires are welcomed, prepared, and set up for success
  • Continuously improve onboarding to drive retention
Training & Development
  • Coordinate training programs and track participation
  • Support employee development and skill-building initiatives
  • Assist with performance management processes and communication
Engagement & Culture
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and programs (including Merit Cares)
  • Support a positive, connected workplace culture
  • Partner with leaders to enhance team engagement and retention
Manager Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers
  • Provide guidance on recruiting, onboarding, and employee development
  • Support day-to-day employee needs and escalate when appropriate

What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5+ years of HR experience, with strong recruiting and onboarding background
  • Experience in manufacturing or operations environment preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
