HR Generalist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations for a growing organization. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with leaders, and supporting employees throughout the full employment life cycle.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, approachable, and knowledgeable in California employment law. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while contributing to the continued growth of the organization!
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure a positive onboarding experience.
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related questions.
- Support employee relations by assisting with performance management, coaching, documentation, conflict resolution, and employee counseling.
- Support managers with employee discipline, corrective actions, and separation processes in accordance with company policies.
- Coordinate and support the company's performance review process and employee development initiatives.
- Administer employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA accommodations, and other protected leaves.
- Assist with benefits administration, employee enrollments, and annual open enrollment.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, personnel files, and benefit documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
- Conduct employment verifications and process employment-related documentation.
- Conduct exit interviews, process offboarding paperwork, and support separation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including California labor regulations.
- Conduct periodic HR audits to ensure compliance and record accuracy.
- Prepare HR reports, maintain workforce metrics, and assist with audits as needed.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including company events, employee surveys, and performance check-ins.
- Partner with department managers to support staffing needs, workforce planning, and organizational initiatives.
- Assist with policy updates, employee communications, and continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.
- Perform other HR-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–4 years of Human Resources experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and leave administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish
