Clayton Services is searching for an
HR Generalist to join a thriving company in Chicago, Illinois. The
HR Generalist will be responsible for running the daily functions of the HR department.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $75,000/year

HR Generalist Responsibilities: - Process payroll for 100+ employees on a weekly basis
- Management payment calendars for fiscal year
- Counsel and support managers on issues related to the company/HR policies
- Provide guidance on employment-related issues
- Work with operations to resolve employee relations issues
- Investigate, counsel, and assist in resolving employee relations disputes
- Provide HR support to operations safety programs, initiatives, and processes including return to work, and coordination of workers' compensation programs
- Provide benefits education and guidance to employees
- Source, recruit, interview, and hire for various positions
- Other duties as assigned
HR Generalist Skills and Abilities: - Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines
- Strong knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations
- Strong knowledge of Federal, and state laws and applications of HR policy in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention-to-detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in ADP Workforce Now and/or Kronos
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
HR Generalist Education and Experience: - 4-6 years of HR experience
- Union labor experience
