Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in supporting
the HR department's functions and activities within our organization. The HR Generalist is responsible
for various HR-related tasks, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
The HR Generalist will maintain and enhance the company's human resources by planning,
implementing, and evaluating HR policies, programs, and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Policies and Compliance:
➢ Maintains compliance with federal, state specific, and local employment laws and
regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews existing policies and practices to
maintain compliance and updates them as needed.
➢ Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies
in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
➢ Manage, update and revises Employee Handbooks as needed.
➢ May conduct training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and other relevant topics.
➢ Maintains and develops company forms and ensures these documents are up to date and
in compliance with company policy and state specific laws and regulations.
Employee Relations:
➢ Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors,
referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
➢ Address and provide resolution to employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances.
➢ Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and
investigations.
➢ Act as a liaison between employees and management to maintain a positive work
environment.
➢ Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and
compensation.
Performance Management:
➢ Responsible for the performance appraisal processes, assist in goal setting, and provide
guidance on performance improvement plans.
➢ Assist and provide guidance to Managers and Supervisors in completing Corrective
Action Reports.
Benefits Administration:
➢ Assist in managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement
plans, and other perks.
HR Data and Reporting:
➢ Maintain HR records and databases, generate reports, and analyze HR metrics to provide
insights and support decision-making.
Support HR Projects:
➢ Contribute to various HR projects, such as diversity initiatives, culture-building efforts,
or process improvements.
➢ Assist with other projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
➢ Bachelor's degree in HR, and/or PHR certification preferred.
➢ Prior experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
➢ Strong knowledge of HR functions, labor laws, and best practices.
➢ Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
➢ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
➢ Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
➢ Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
Pay depending on experience $65 - 85K
