CIRCOR Aerospace & Defense is focused on the design, development, and manufacture of specialty fluid and motion control products for demanding aerospace and defense applications. CIRCOR products are flying on most commercial and military aircraft, including air transport, business and regional jets, military transports and fighters, and commercial and military rotorcraft. Other markets include unmanned aircraft, shipboard applications, and military ground vehicles.

POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

The Recruiter works closely with Human Resources Manager, Corporate Recruiters and Hiring Managers to define job requirements, outline job postings, and source, screen, and interview potential candidates. The HR Recruiter will manage all aspects of the recruiting and hiring/onboarding process from initial job requisition to the final placement of candidates.

Principal Activities
  • Ensure job description accuracy including updating job descriptions as roles evolve.
  • Maintain internal position posting and selection processes.
  • Insure proper external position postings, handling of applicant flow, including employee referrals.
  • Maintain records of all recruitment-related activities and candidates.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruitment methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Identify and maintain strong relationships with government and private sources for referral of manufacturing, technical and administrative non-exempt and earlier career exempt level talent.
  • Attend job fairs and other industry events to expand the recruitment network.
  • Manage communication with candidates, including providing feedback, answering questions, and providing information about the organization and position.
  • Identify and work with additional recruiting resources to fill and sustain talent pipelines.
  • Administration of skill assessments, effective interviewing, participation in selection, development, and presentation of offers, managing acceptance and start process.
  • Schedule interviews, manage preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Address and maintain data on areas of concern to enable systemic problem identification and resolution. This will include participation in onboarding new and transferring associates and exit interviews.
  • Ensure associate relations and community service events are appropriately and successfully planned and implemented.
Job Requirements:

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately perform high volume, detailed work
  • Excellent at planning, organization and managing multiple priorities
  • Effective and professional written and oral communication
  • Highly customer service oriented
  • Proven experience as HR Generalist
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Solid knowledge of New York employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. Ultipro) will be a plus
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office experience with emphasis in Outlook, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to move safely in a manufacturing environment
Education & Experience
  • BS/BA in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as an HR recruiter or similar role.
  • Familiar with the entire recruitment lifecycle.
  • Proficient in using HR software and recruiting websites
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in an HR Recruiter or Generalist role in a manufacturing environment
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification a plus

PAY RANGE: $60,000 - $80,000 a year
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
