If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has a great opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role involves various HR duties, including data entry, answering benefit questions and any additional administrative duties assigned. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday from 8:00am -5:00pm.
Your responsibilities
- Accountable for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department
- Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
- Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
- Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
- Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
- Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
- Differentiate local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
- Conduct employee performance reviews, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
- Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
- Collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
- Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations
- Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
