Job Description - HR Manager

HR Manager – Automotive Manufacturing (Atlanta, GA | $100,000 + Benefits)

A global manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead its human resources operations at a key U.S. facility. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with hands-on HR management in a fast-paced production environment.

The successful candidate will serve as the on-site HR leader, driving employee engagement, compliance, and talent development while supporting plant management and corporate HR initiatives.

The Role

You'll be responsible for all aspects of HR at the site, from employee relations and policy implementation to recruitment and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all HR functions including employee relations, performance management, and recruitment.
  • Partner with plant and operations leadership to align HR strategy with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
  • Support payroll, timekeeping, and benefits administration.
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and professional development programs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Manage investigations, documentation, and corrective action processes.
  • Collaborate with corporate HR on compensation, talent planning, and performance programs.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within manufacturing or automotive environments.
  • Solid understanding of FMLA, ADA, EEO, and other employment regulations.
  • Confident in handling employee relations and HR investigations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable working both strategically and tactically.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

  • HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP).
  • Previous experience in a Tier 1 automotive or industrial setting.
