HR Specialist (100% remote) - Career Growth Potential

My name is Alex and I represent The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an HR Specialist position for a prominent client of ours. This role is 100% remote

Position Type: 5+ month assignment to start (potential to extend/convert)

Pay: $24.00-25.00 per hour W2

M-F; 40 hours per week EST hours

o   Overview: provide general HR support for the end-to end colleague experience including background check adjudication, onboarding/offboarding, performance management, and general operational support.

o   Review individual background check results to ensure they meet the minimum requirements while maintaining a high level of confidentiality; escalate background check results and candidate statements to Employee Relations and/or Legal when appropriate.

o   Guide candidates through the background check adjudication process and gather documents using various communication methods, review situations that require additional approval, and when appropriate, complete adverse action documentation, including rescinding offers.

o   Escalate situations on a variety of human resources related issues (i.e., Americans with Disabilities (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), wage and hour, harassment, colleague disputes, etc.) to ensure effective, legally compliant resolutions are established efficiently and within company guidelines.

o   Research and respond to queries in a timely and efficient manner regarding HR programs, policies, or procedures

Qualifications/preferred skills:

o   2 - 3 years of HR business experience, including HR Intern, HR Analyst, or similar entry level role

o   Preferred – Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related area

o   Comfortable using Excel and PowerPoint skills, experience with HR reporting databases a plus

o   Nice to have technologies: Oracle or JIRA exposure
