Job Description - HR Team Lead-Shared Services

Summary:

The HR Team Lead is a member of the Allegis Group HR Shared Services department. The HR Shared Services department includes several operational teams, such as HR Records, I-9 Compliance, Employment Screening and Unemployment. The HR Team Lead is responsible for the direct supervision of one or more HR operational teams. The HR Team Lead has functional knowledge of the concepts, practices, and procedures of the various HR operational functions.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Supervise, train, and develop the team members.
Conduct performance development plan check-ins, performance evaluations and career conversations with team members.
Evaluate the needs of the individual teams.
Participate in the interview and hiring process.
Serve as primary escalation point of contact for customers or team member questions or issues.
Responsible for day-to-day task management and workload allocation to the team members.
Document and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the functional area.
Educate and provide support to the Operating Company customers on compliance processes.
Build strong working relationships with field support leadership in the operating companies, as well as ER, HR and Legal.
Evaluate processes and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and process improvement to support the team and the business.
Conduct trainings and presentations to the field support partners as requested.
Promote a fun, inclusive and supportive team culture where new ideas are welcomed.
Assist HR Manager with other department related projects or tasks as needed.

Supervisory or Management Responsibility:

Responsible for the direct supervision, training, and development of a team of individual contributors in one or more operational HR functions.
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational tasks for all team members.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
2-3 years of experience in HR and/or business operations.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities

Outstanding customer service skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
Ability to establish and modify basic work practices or processes to achieve results or improve efficiency.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Must be able to protect and maintain confidentiality of data.
Ability to take initiative and focus on results without losing sight of the big picture.
