HSE Specialist

The HSE Specialist is responsible for supporting local management in establishing and continuously improving Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) culture within the worksite.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Develop managers\u0027 awareness and ensure HSE policies and standards are an integral part of line management responsibilities and objectives.\n * Assist line management with:\n * Understanding and Implementing the HSE Management System\n * Assessing the local risks, supporting the teams in HARC creation and implementation\n * Generating local HSE procedures, work instructions and checklists as required.\n * Stay current with new HSE documentation and training materials and communicate updates to management.\n * Ensure that HSE documentation is maintained and accessible onsite.\n * Support line management in investigations of failures and accidents.\n * Foster a strong HSE culture through ongoing communication, training, and active participation in HSE programs.\n\n\n\nShifts: \n\nMultiple shifts available.\n\nRequired Skills \u0026 Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Occupational Health \u0026 Safety, Environmental Science/Management, or a related field; or a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.\n * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (tables and reporting).\n * Strong customer service orientation.\n * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n * Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.\n * Ability to manage stakeholders effectively including contractor management.\n * Experience with mechanical lifting equipment, specifically forklifts and cranes.\n * Emergency response experience.\n * Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.\n\n\n
