Kelly Science has a new opportunity to join one of our growing clients as an HSE Specialist in Augusta GA. This is a direct hire opportunity and can provide relocation assistance.
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Location : Augusta GA
Responsibilities
Assist with compliance of all Group and Site HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
Deploy the Group HSE policies, programs, and tools.
Review and propose site-specific adaptations and improvements to Group HSE programs and tools
Assist in compliance of all HSE regulations and legislation.
Ensure all site activities respect applicable HSE regulations and manage environmental permits and renewals.
Organize and conduct HSE audits and inspections, and identify improvement areas and recommended preventative or corrective measures.
Collect rainwater, wastewater, solid waste, and stack gas samples, arrange analysis, and interpret and report results
Manage waste streams and recycling and disposal of material.
Provide HSE expertise, information, advice, and train or support training of employees and subcontractors in HSE matters.
Provide information regarding changes in HSE legislation.
Ensure the exchange of best practices and relevant experiences.
Ensure continuous improvement of Site HSE performance.
Requirements:
College degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, IH, safety or a related technical discipline
5+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing facility.
Experience with Industrial construction, production and maintenance a plus
