Palmer Group has partnered with an outstanding client in Houston, Texas, for a Human Resources Generalist on a contract-to-hire basis. The HR Generalist will serve as a central point of contact for Human resource-related inquiries. This individual will also assist with recruiting efforts and facilitate the employee onboarding process. If this role aligns with your experience and goals, apply today!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare offer letters and initiate the pre-employment screening process
- Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed, including I-9 verification and employment agreements
- Manage all aspects of new hire management; this includes processing employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations
- Maintain accurate and current employee records in the HRIS system, including personal information, employment history, and performance evaluations
- Perform benefit reporting and partner with payroll in HR/payroll-related activities
- Act as backup to the payroll administrator
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- SPHR or PHR certification is a strong plus
- Experience in Employee Relations
- Advanced knowledge of ADP WFN
- 3 plus years of HR experience
- Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and V-look Ups
