Job Description - Human Resource Generalist - Join a Leading Company

We are hiring a motivated Human Resource Generalist to join our growing team at Specialty1 Partners in Houston, TX.

If you are a skilled and energetic HR professional, you may enjoy this role which involves onboarding, assisting multiple departments, conducting training, policy compliance and culture curation. You must have great interpersonal and organizational skills, a resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail. This position will focus on servicing employees vertically and horizontally inside of the organization; report to the HR manager and work closely with the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers; referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Collaborates with various departments to ensure accurate and timely transfer of employee data.
  • Coordinates offboarding and exit interview surveys.
  • Handles unemployment claims.
  • Assist with employee relations related matters.
  • Prepare monthly compliance reports and other reports as needed.
  • Assist with policy and training program development as needed.
  • Communicate information upstream via reporting to facilitate continued departmental function.
  • Support teammates with follow-up and communication regarding applicants and employee status changes, annual compliance requirements, etc.
  • Assist HR Manager in professional employee relations activities, including but not limited to: employee consulting, performance improvement, conflict resolution, complaint investigation, policy interpretation and the preparation of related reports, action plans, and documentation.
  • Assist management team by drafting and reviewing corrective action and employee relations documentation, HR Manager oversight.
  • Assist HR team with coordination of Company events.
  • Assist with employee newsletter
  • Provide support on team projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Professional certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Have a can-do attitude and eagerly pitch in with other duties as needed.

Compliance

  • Apply strong knowledge of, and stay current on, developments related to company policies and practices and federal, state, and local employment laws, including Title VII, ADEA, FLSA, ADA.
  • Recommend and ensure completion of required training.
  • Assist in tracking and report data to contribute to team metrics.

Position Pay Range
$60,000—$70,000 USD
