Human Resource Officer/Senior Officer

PalmPay is a pan-African fintech company currently operating in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania and expanding to other markets in this year. We’re reinventing the payments experience by making it easy and reliable for everyone to transfer money, pay bills and shop online.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR personnel to support our HR department. The ideal candidate will assist with all aspects of HR operations, including payroll, recruitment, and reporting. This role requires a confident individual who can take the lead on projects, communicate effectively, and handle challenges with ease.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks.
• Manage payroll processing and resolve any payroll-related issues.
• Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
• Prepare and submit reports on HR activities and metrics.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Coordinate employee onboarding and training programs.
• Provide support in performance management and employee relations.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Take the lead on HR projects and deliver them promptly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, recruitment, or a similar role.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
