Description:
The Human Resources Representative is passionate about employee relations with an interest in employee engagement, onboarding, and compliance. The role is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department in various administrative and clerical related duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assume personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies/procedures and incorporates safety and health in all job duties/tasks
• Adhere to safe work practices, follows GMPs and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately

• Attend and actively participates in safety meetings and trainings
• Always ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist Human Resources Department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
• Provide outstanding customer service by responding to employee requests and questions and give prompt delivery of information for issues in need of escalation.
• Complete check sorting, distribution and attach applicable payroll stuffers, when applicable.
• Conduct audits for various payroll, benefits or other HR programs.
• Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and assist with on-boarding process.
• Prepares new employee files.
• Assist Plant and Process Managers in managing time off requests for hourly employees by coordinating yearly distribution of PPT requests, logging approved time off requests, placing vacation calendar on bulletin boards and updating such on weekly basis or as needed.
• Complete special projects and departmental initiatives, inclusive but not limited to, organizing company functions, research, trainings, postings, benefit enrollment, coordination of accident prevention surveys, issue/present service awards; provide support of plant teams.
• Enter new hires, update and maintains Human Resources Information System records and compile reports from database as needed.
• Act as a backup when the Payroll Administrator is absent. During this time, the Human Resources Representative is responsible for assisting with payroll inquiries.
• Cross-trained in HR functions: payroll, benefits, and recruitment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
• Knowledge of methods and techniques of maintaining record keeping and filing systems.
• Organized, accurate and detailed oriented.
• Ability to juggle a multitude of tasks.
• Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality
