The

Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP serves as a Human Resources strategic partner and liaison to ensure the success of the assigned business units and employees. This position directly reports to the Human Resources Leader.

Duties and Responsibilities: (Assigned Business Units)

Deploys the HR strategy through day-to-day interactions and regular meetings with respective business units and establishes strategic partnerships with the relevant leadership teams.
Proactively supports client group, providing expertise and guidance on any people-related matters, across the employee life cycle.
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the leadership/legal teams as needed/required.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to employees and managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.

Duties and Responsibilities: (Enterprise Wide)

Administers the company’s periodic performance evaluation process while always being innovative and progressive around these strategies.
Administers and promotes the company’s various reward, recognition, and performance incentive programs.
Will lead and execute special human resources related projects on an as needed basis.
Assists members of human resources management with various strategic HR initiatives that directly impact the business.
Assists in ensuring the organization is current and up to date on all legal and regulatory compliance updates pertaining to federal-state, and local labor law, safety, etc.
Assists with workers compensation case management.
Assists with the company’s on-boarding and off-boarding procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Assists in the formulation and administration of the company’s new and existing policies and procedures and helps to ensure compliance. This includes helping to update and maintain the employee handbook.
Prepares periodic reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends in areas such as workforce planning, safety, risk mitigation, performance management, etc.
Assists with proper records management to ensure compliance regarding role relevant areas.
Keeps current and in compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advising employees and members of management on needed actions.
All other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCP certifications are highly preferred.
Minimum of five years of hands-on experience working as a Human Resources Generalist or Human Resources Business Partner in a corporate environment.
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management, safety, employment policies, and federal and state respective employment laws such as FMLA, ADA, AA/EEO, and OSHA.
Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
Must be very flexible and willing to perform general administrative duties in addition to the daily Human Resources responsibilities.
Experience with visa processing/immigration related work.
Must be flexible in schedule, and open to minimal evening or weekend work.
Must be coachable and open to learning new concepts and practices.
Must be able to treat sensitive and confidential information with high levels of discretion.
Must be able to thrive in a team-oriented work environment.
Must be well organized with excellent overall computer and technology skills.
Must be highly motivated with ability to express new ideas for process improvement.
Must be customer-focused and enjoy service-oriented type of work.

Physical Requirements:

Works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
Noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office.
Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
