FloWorks is a leading specialty distributor of critical flow control products and provider of tailored technical solutions for MRO-focused applications. The company serves customers across chemical, downstream refining & renewables, high purity & sanitary, and other industrial end markets. FloWorks’ product categories include valve & automation, corrosion resistant flow control, rotating equipment, flanges, filters & purifiers, and instrumentation. As a HR Business Partner you will provide day to day support and counsel to various business units/functional groups covering many or most of the following areas: Compensation, Benefits, Training, and Employee and Labor Relations. Ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.

  • Build credibility and trust with the workforce and leaders alike through excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility at all levels of the organization.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions).
  • Manages employee relations issues and investigations as needed to resolve potential conflicts, violations of policy, or workplace issues.
  • Recommends opportunities for improving employee engagement and talent retention.
  • Acts as a change agent for company initiatives and programs.
  • Prepares ad-hoc HR-related reports and assists with compiling data, as needed.
  • Ensures new policies and programs are effectively communicated and actioned to meet goals and objectives.
  • Proactive, out-of-the box thinking with the will to challenge and question the status quo.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to help employees understand how their contributions create value for the company, while identifying talent gaps and coaching supervisors on developing plans to bridge those gaps.
  • Develop a strong understanding of key business drivers to support the achievement of organizational goals and results.
  • Drive innovation in HR functions and processes to include continued automation of transaction work and leveraging shared capabilities across the business.

Nice to have:

  • HR experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment supporting front line employees.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business, or related field.

Environmental Job Requirements

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
