Job Description - Human Resources Compliance Support Specialist

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is seeking a Human Resources Compliance Support Specialist to join our Human Resources team located in Wheaton, IL. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys detail-oriented administrative work, research and recordkeeping. The role is responsible for the administrative operations of compliance programs, ensuring that requirements are clearly communicated to staff, accurately tracked and properly documented in a confidential and timely manner. The position works collaboratively with HR team members and supervisors throughout the organization.


Compensation


Starting pay: $28.79 - $32.40 per hour.

Schedule


30 - 40 hours per week during normal hours of business Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.


Key Qualifications



  • Associate's degree in human resources or related field preferred; 1-3 years of related experience in an administrative role

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred

  • Knowledge of human resources terminology and pertinent federal, state and local regulations

  • Excellent communication, organizational, critical thinking and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems and records management

  • Ability to maintain records of a confidential and personal nature
