Job Description - Human Resources Coordinator

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and fast paced environment? Heritage Automotive Group is seeking an Human Resources Coordinator to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our HR team. Whether you're early in your HR journey or bringing valuable experience to the table, this position offers an opportunity to grow, collaborate, and contribute to a supportive work culture.

Responsibilities:

    • Benefits Administration – Administer benefits programs, leave of absence processes, and wellness initiatives. Educate employees on all benefit options and act as liaison between employees and benefit providers.
    • Internal Communication & Culture – Coordinate and promote internal communication platforms (Intranet & Slack) and help plan company-wide events like summer outings and holiday celebrations.
    • Recruitment & Onboarding – Assist recruiter with hiring, job fairs, interviews, and welcoming new employees.
    • HR Compliance & Administration – Maintain employee records, support policy development, and ensure compliance with labor laws and reporting.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
    • 2-5 years in a human resources role
    • Knowledge of Federal and Vermont employment laws
    • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification preferred or desire to acquire
    • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
    • High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and sound judgment
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems
    • Willingness to travel to our White River Junction location a couple times per month
