Support human resource functions for the College of Liberal Arts and collaborate with team members to provide effective HR support for the college. Job Responsibilities
Compliance Management: Assist HR team with reporting and follow-up communications related to Form I-9, work authorization, student employment eligibility, records management and similar business needs related to compliance and oversight of college personnel.
Customer Service, Workflow, and Communication:Oversee dean's o
ffice HR team with management of centralized e-mail through triage of issues,
timely
responsiveness, and escalation of
issues
as necessary.
Work with COLA staff to address and resolve issues by providing direct
assistance
to them when able and working with senior members of the COLA HR team to resolve issues as they arise. Serve as primary point of contact for dean's office HR team and
facilitate
effective channels of communication with and among dean's office personnel and department HR contacts on behalf of HR team. Help COLA HR track work in progress, following up on action items as they arise, and help improve business processes and data collection, including developing tools to help COLA HR collect, communicate, and
disseminate
information, and overall improve the team's ability to better serve the
College.
Workday:
Assist
dean's office with creating Workday business processes related to dean's office student hiring, onboarding, time-reporting, and separating. Provide
additional
support to HR team, as needed, for Workday business processes and/or reporting, and
providing
assistance
to
the college's HR assistants and partners (with opportunities for learning and growth over time), growing increasingly into providing comprehensive Workday support for COLA staff. Serve as I-9 partner and provide primary
assistance
for completion of I-9s for our office. Serve as main HR team contact for

Office Management, Planning and Scheduling: Greet visitors, receive calls, answer
questions
or
provide assistance
as needed.
Assist
dean's office HR team planning and scheduling meetings and training sessions. Oversee supply levels and serve as point of contact for orders or deliveries; oversee copier maintenance and supplies; help ensure a welcoming and professional atmosphere for our office.
Provide
additional
administrative support to COLA HR Team members, including special projects, as
needed.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's
degree with at least two years of related experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and respond to faculty and staff and students tactfully,
clearly
and concisely. Demonstrated history of reliable and regular work attendance.
Ability to work effectively as a team, or independently, as

Ability to research policy questions and find qualitative answers. Professional and positive demeanor. Demonstrated record of excellent customer service.Demonstrated ability to
