POSITION OVERVIEW/SUMMARY
The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator provides tactical support to the Executive Director, Human Resources and the extended HR team. Incumbent assists with a variety of ongoing day-to-day processes as well as standalone projects. Duties may touch upon any of the standard HR functions and responsibilities (e.g., staffing, benefits, employee relations, training, legal, compliance, etc.).
PAY RATE: $46 - $51 per hour
ONSITE/REMOTE: This is a hybrid role in Jersey City, NJ; candidates will need to report onsite 3 days per week
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- HRIS Administration, responsible for capturing all relevant employee data, generating reports, and ensuring data integrity across multiple HRIS Platforms
- Manages HR Team email inbox and provides timely assistance to team members regarding benefits, HR questions and issues
- Maintains and updates the HR SharePoint Intranet site, to ensure posted information is accurate and up-to date
- Process all leave of absences and manage return to work dates
- Manages termination process within multiple HR systems
- Coordinate and Audit the job description filing system and ensure all descriptions are updated and filed on the HR shared drive
- Performs various administrative functions to support the HR Team
- Provides back up support to the full-time HR Coordinator as needed to support staffing, onboarding, and new hire orientation
- Works on ad hoc HR projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience working in an HR function, preferably within a pharmaceutical or other corporate environment
- Experience working with a technical hiring program in a highly competitive industry is preferred
- Solid understanding of common HR programs and functions
- Requires strong attention to detail and process orientation
- Strong verbal and professional writing skills
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and bring tasks and projects to timely conclusion while maintaining high quality
- Great interpersonal skills: a proven ability to interact well with employees and managers up to senior levels
- Discretion and tact; a trusted professional with a proven ability to safeguard highly sensitive and/or confidential information
- Strong computer skills: MS Office (including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint), and familiarity with HRIS (Workday preferred) and ATS systems
