About the Opportunity: A New Chapter with MML Hospitality
Nestled at the base of Aspen Mountain, the iconic Mountain Chalet Aspen is preparing to throw open its doors once again! Launching across October and November 2027, we are completely revitalizing this 1954 landmark through a massive $100M modern luxury transformation.
Operated by MML Hospitality—acclaimed for creating some of the country’s most vibrant, design-forward restaurants, retail spaces, and boutique hotels (like New Orleans’ Hotel Saint Vincent and New York's Nine Orchard)—this project blends historic alpine soul with MML’s signature elevated style.
As the Director of Human Resources, you will be the architect of our workforce. Supported by MML’s robust home-office resources, you will have the unique, career-defining opportunity to design the talent acquisition strategy, shape the company culture, and build a world-class team of 100+ hospitality professionals from the ground up.
The Property: Blending Heritage with MML’s Signature Style
Originally founded in 1954, the Mountain Chalet is a beloved cornerstone of the community. Our top-to-bottom transformation honors classic European-style ski lodge roots while introducing the pinnacle of modern luxury. The reimagined property will feature:
- Elevated Accommodations: 59 beautifully redesigned guest rooms and suites.
- Premium Amenities: A brand-new luxury wellness spa, kids club, and outdoor thermal pool spaces.
- MML Culinary Destinantions: Multiple brand-new, public-facing food and beverage concepts—including a traditional alpine stube, a premier grill, a Japanese restaurant, and a 5th-floor cocktail lounge destined to become the heartbeat of Aspen’s après-ski scene.
- An Unbeatable Location: Situated right in the heart of downtown Aspen, steps from the Silver Queen Gondola.
