Job Description - Human Resources Generalist

HR generalists will support the core HR operations including employee relations and coordination, on- and off-boarding processes, HR operations support, and HR compliance activities, data management and reporting. This role will serve as a trusted point of contact by providing responsive support, maintaining accurate records and helping ensure that HR practices align with company values and operational needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform HR functions from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance, serving as a versatile support across the HR department.
Act as the first point of contact for employees, providing prompt assistance regarding benefits, payroll, leave requests (FMLA/PTO), and policy interpretation.
Assist with the administration of employee benefits and planning/supporting company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans
Manage onboarding and offboarding activities including screening, documentation, HRIS related steps and coordinating with the stakeholders.
Assist in talent acquisition process for open positions; collaborate with department managers in job requirements, interview and hiring process.
Conduct or assist with compliance, audits and mandatory reports such as I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
Prior experience in Human Resources field or HR support role (including internships or relevant academic experience).
Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP WFN, Paycom or similar platforms) preferred and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite required.
Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements, with a commitment to operating with integrity and professionalism.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and build positive relationships with employees across all levels.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
Demonstrates a solutions-oriented mindset, approaching challenges with curiosity and a willingness to learn.
