Position Summary:
The Human ResourcesGeneralistis responsible forprovidingday-to-dayHR support toWater for Good’sHQ office in the United States. The Human ResourcesGeneralistis responsible forsupportingall aspects of the employment lifecycle, including talent acquisition support, payroll administration, benefit administration, policy management and compliance, and other HR administration duties.
Responsibilities & DutiesOverview:
Manage the HQfull cycle recruitmentprocessfor all open roles in the United States.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
Maintain up to date personnel records in Water for Good’s HRIS system.
Process payroll on a bi-monthly basis for employeeslocatedin the United States, ensuring accuracy intimekeeping, deductions, and wage adjustments.
Coordinatebenefit open enrollment for employeeslocatedin the United States, as well asassistingemployees with benefit related questions and life events.
Facilitate employee performance evaluations and ensure that employees are provided with clear directions.
Ensure compliance with federalandstate-specificemployment laws.
Support supervisors to ensure HR policies and practices are properly implemented.
Draft and distribute HR communications,announcements, and updates to handbook and/or organizational policies and procedures, as needed.
With guidance from the Chief People Officer, supportinitiatives that reinforce culture, recognition, and employee engagement.
Complete HR administrative tasks, such as but not limited to,maintainingHR calendars, scheduling meetings,andpreparing HR reports and metrics for the leadership team.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience and Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Passion for Water for Good’s mission of transforming lives through sustainable access to safe water, as well as improved sanitation and hygiene, in places that need it most.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or a related field.
2+ years of Human Resources experience.
Basic understanding of Employment Laws, and the ability to apply judgement to situations.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Experience using HRIS systems.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Legally eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Project Management software, such as Asana.
Experience using the HRIS system, BambooHR.
Physical Qualifications
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
