Mackin Engineers & Consultants is seeking a proactive and people-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support all aspects of the employee experience. This full-time, exempt role will play a key part in driving HR operations, supporting employees and leadership, and contributing to an inclusive and engaging workplace culture. The ideal candidate brings well-rounded HR knowledge, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting people and organizational success. This role is heavy on recruiting and administrative tasks that requires a wide knowledge base or a passion in people operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Serve as a key point of contact for HR-related questions and provide guidance on policies, procedures, and employment matters
Support the full employee life cycle: recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and separation
Coordinate and conduct interviews, new hire orientations, stay interviews, and exit interviews
Administer employee benefits programs and support open enrollment, leave coordination, and employee education
Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and update HR systems, manuals, and internal trackers
Support the performance review process, compensation adjustments, and compliance-related initiatives
Assist with training and development programs and track employee participation
Address employee relations concerns with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
Prepare reports and contribute to data-driven HR planning and decision-making
Represent Mackin at job fairs, career events, and HR professional conferences
Assist with company-wide engagement activities, events, and internal committees
Collaborate on special projects to strengthen Mackin’s culture and operations
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
2- 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role
Strong recruiting background
Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Deltek Ajera, ADP, and HRIS systems a plus
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
