Human Resources Generalist

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as onsite representative of Orion’s Human Resources department, implementing and administering all established human resources programs.
• Oversee all aspects of hiring process for the Mukilteo site, including recruiting candidates, screening applicants, scheduling and/or conducting interviews, ordering background checks and drug screens, and initiating onboarding process.
• Conduct orientations of new staff hires and program participants and post-hire check-ins with new employees.
• Schedule employee training as needed in consultation with onsite department managers.
• Administering employee records in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
• Act as Human Resources representative to standing committees.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to navigate conflict and implement conflict resolution strategies
• Familiarity with HRIS systems, Paylocity preferred

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study or,
• Associate’s degree with two years of experience working in human resources environment or;
• Five years of experience working in a corporate human resources environment.

• Frequent lifting of 5 or 10 pounds, with occasional lifting to 35 pounds
• Occasional exposure to manufacturing shop floor, requiring use of Safety Glasses
• Infrequent exposure to excess noise levels, necessitating the use of Hearing Protection

Wage Range:

The pay range for this role considers several factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, education, and other business needs.
